Pecha Kucha Sessions: Call for entries |
All the world's a stage... come be a player!
Pecha Kucha Night (PKN), which draws on the Japanese word for the sound of conversation, was conceived by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture) in Tokyo in 2003 as a platform for designers and creatives to meet, network, and show their work in public. PKN has percolated its way through over 140 cities worldwide, and continues to gain momentum exponentially. PKN has stayed true to its roots, creating a forum in which creative work and ideas can be easily and informally shown. The key to PKN is its patented system that allows each presenter to show 20 images shown for 20 seconds each, –giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, the programme varied, and gives more people the chance to show.
Pecha Kucha Night is being introduced to Luxembourg by Industrial Designer Philippe Schlesser. His aim is to gather a showcase of creativity and local talent in a relaxed public setting, fostering relationship building, knowledge sharing, and creative partnerships.
Pecha Kucha Night Luxembourg: Volume 1 will be launched on Friday, 05/12/2008 at MUDAM starting at 20:20
For more information please check http://www.pecha-kucha.org/cities/luxembourg
If you're interested in becoming a presenter at Pecha Kucha NIghts Luxembourg, please contact Philippe Schlesser at the following email address: pkn@plippo.com.
Presentations about ideas, passions, artistic endeavours, and innovation are warmly welcomed.
Call for entries for Pecha Kucha at Colophon will begin on the 5th December 2008. Start thinking about what you want to broadcast! |
